2016 Maritime Cabernet Sauvignon
The name ‘Maritime’ reflects the coastal position of the best Cabernet sauvignon blocks in the world, whereby a maritime climate with gentle sea breezes over warm, dry summers enables the cabernet fruit to ripen with great flavour.
This superb estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon with 7% Touriga Nationale has aromas of redcurrant, spicy plum, mocha and cedar. Our Cabernet fruit gives excellent length and structure while the Touriga, offers silken tannins, excellent fragrance and an elegant, savoury mouth feel.
Open vat fermenting, a gentle basket-press and 24 months barrel ageing in seasoned French oak, provides balance and complexity. No filtration or fining used.
14.0% alc/vol. 100 cases made. Cellar 15+ years.
